International photography symposium in Gothenburg,  spring 2010

Three symposiums with some of the world's most well-known international photo historians was hosted in Gothenburg during the autumn of 2009. In addition, the first thematical symposium, focusing on landscape photography related to how nature is altered by mankind, was hosted.

On Monday, April 26 from 10 to 17, the second symposium, focusing on Conservation Photography, will be hosted in 10:an at Gothenburg University, Vasaparken.

For students at the School of Photography at Göteborg University, the symposia are part of the new course offering: "The photographic image – histories, theory and research" that started in September 2009.

The symposium is co-hosted by the Hasselblad Foundation, The School of Photography at Gothenburg University and the University of Skövde and will be exclusively offered in the Swedish language.
